scholarship

Gracie Castillo

Gracie is a Fourth Generation Wolverine.  She follows some big footsteps including her great grandfather, Doug Donley, who logged mountains around Garden Valley during the day, then enjoyed the natural pleasures of our area; fly fishing and swimming in the South Fork of the Payette.  Gracie’s grandfather, Ramon Encinas, was a reforestation contractor, protecting our environment by planting and thinning trees, soil erosion prevention, and rodent control.  Gracie’s mom is an educator who obviously encouraged excellence in education.

Now Gracie wants to take that legacy and attend the College of Idaho in Caldwell, studying a double major of Biology and Spanish, and then hopefully brining some of that new knowledge back to Garden Valley to keep improving this wonderful place we call home.
